Alidya™ is the first injectable medical device specifically designed for the prevention and treatment of cellulite (gynoid lipodystrophy). It reduces the “orange peel” appearance by chelating toxins, improving microcirculation, and boosting skin tissue metabolism, primarily targeting areas like thighs, hips, and buttocks.
How It Works
Unlike fat-dissolving injections, Alidya improves the tissue environment through several mechanisms:
Detoxification & Chelation: It neutralizes and removes toxic heavy metals (like iron/hemosiderin) that accumulate in tissues and contribute to inflammation and “orange peel” skin.
Microcirculation Support: It stimulates blood and lymphatic circulation, improving tissue oxygenation and reducing fluid retention (edema).
Tissue Rebalancing: The solution contains amino acids and antioxidants that help restore the normal functioning of fat cells (adipocytes) and alkalinize the extracellular matrix.
Skin Strengthening: It supports collagen production, which enhances skin elasticity and firmness in the treated areas.
Treatment Areas & Protocol
Common Areas: Thighs, buttocks, hips, abdomen, and occasionally the upper arms.
Standard Course: Typically requires 7 to 12 sessions, performed once per week.
Duration: Each session takes approximately 20–30 minutes.
Results: Initial improvements are often visible after about 3 sessions, with final results appearing gradually throughout the course. The effects typically last for about one year before maintenance might be needed.
Safety and Availability
Regulatory Status: Alidya is CE-marked for use in Europe and other regions. However, it is not currently FDA-approved in the United States.
Side Effects: Mild and temporary side effects can include redness, swelling, or minor bruising at the injection site.
Suitability: It is not a weight-loss treatment and is generally not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
